Fastest File & Image hosting = Googlepage creator!

You want to host a file, be it photo,movie,program anything.
Then you've lot options like rapidshare, megaupload etc. While also generate you
some money based on how many people download it.

But my trick is for small personal use of hosting small sized files.

procedure:- (read below or see my 144 KB small tutorial video)
1. get yourself a gmail id
2. sign into http://pages.google.com/ with that id.
3. Accept the terms etc.
4. click on the upload button on the right hand side column
5. Browse for the file in your hard disk
6. It'll be uploaded and listed there. Right click on the file name and click 'Copy link location'

Now you can post that link to any one to whom you want to share that file/photo/video.

Benefits:-
1.some forums don't allow images from some image hosts but files hosted in googlepage don't have that problem.
2. no timer limit like rapidshare
3. no advertisement / toolbar installing required.
4. its free and fast!

I agree but beware..i have seen bandwidth exceeded message for g pages once...
so don't think it offers unlimited bandwidth ...

Yes, I can confirm that it offers limited bandwidth only. I've been using www.googlepages.com (the same site, just redirection) to host files for friends, and for hosting avatars too

^ You can still use the old accounts and pages. It wont stop or disable ur existing pages.

Google is not accepting new registrations for pages since they have come up with "Sites"

And its not as easy as what u did u googlepages and share the files and images... Google Sites accounts are verified constantly and are banned if u break the policy.

I tried to upload a 2 MB file and made shared that file to some 234 people in a week on my site, and my sites account was disabled and the site was banned; reason "Policy violation"

How is it quality wise ?
Do you still have a lack of deeper access and features like php ?
Can you use a custom domain ?
What are the hosting specs ?
