Default iPod Power User Guide

This is a guide I compiled as a lot people have asked me how to efficiently make use of the iPod, this guide is divided into 2 parts:

Part 1:
  1. How to manage Audio & Video and most importantly.
  2. How to back up your iPod library,
  3. Transfer songs from the iPod to the PC in way that the file names are the same as the song title or artist/album.
  4. How to add you tube videos in a few clicks without having to convert manually.
Part 2:
  • Explorer Icon
  • Lyrics Integration
  • Contacts, Calendar & Photo Synchronization
  • Backgrounds
  • Themes
  • Portable Applications
  • Maximizing iPod Portability
Themes and customization tweaks have been elaborated on in the 2 part guide.

Links to various softwares have also been provided.

In the guide a lot of formatting has been done and a lot of images have been used for better and easier understanding. The guide is also quite extensive, which make it difficult for me to post the whole thing here.

iPod Power User Guide - Part 1

iPod Power User Guide - Part 2

Well i would like to share my opinion on Sharepod....as a user of the software...
My view differs from Imav

Sharepod sucks... You wll come to know of it sooner or later..I used it wth my ipod 30gb video n it messed the audio video tags..

Sup i transferred 3 movies using shrepod..The ipod showed the length of each video as the sum of the length of three videos..

Many audio tags were wild with sharepod...lyrics never showed up...
The probnlems were numerous n I cant even recall all of them now!
so finally all i feel is sharepod must b used as an alternative only if u dont have itunes handy....

This was the story few months back..might b poss that the bugs have been removed in the newer version of the software...

But fr me SHAREPOD is a strict no!

the biggest adv of share pod is that it's portable which means, u goto ur fren's house with ur ipod he wants some songs, start share pod select and send choose wat file name u want

and in my entire guide i have advocated use of itunes
