Can't hear sound in windows 2003

We tried to install Windows Server 2003 Std on our friends machine,
e'thing was fine. Only problem is Sound drivers are making problems. Is there any way to install Sound Drivers

Config.

Intel 915,945 Board, 512 RAM, Pentium D Pro. .
Please suggest

dear try again,
i m not sure but i think u should try few things:
*it may be happen that ur cd not autorun in win server 2003 as u say its 915.
i have same board. try to install from the sound drivers folder.
*secondly there may be problem in ur media
*and major thing is that--> u have to enable sound manualy from control panel. by default sound is disabled.
*another cause may be like u r using evaluation version or may u have to install service pack 1 or 2 for server 2003.

Login as adminstrator-->>download the latest driver for Windows2k3 from manufacture's website-->>install it.Done

I also have intel 915 ..n some time before I successfully installed soundcard on windows 2k3.
