Arrow How To HIDE applets from the Control Panel.

some of us may not want some applets (icons) showing in the control panel, for security or any reasons whatsoever.

here is a small tut to show how to hide them. there are tools which do that, but this way u can hide any, manually.

for example if u want to hide the 'Folder Options' applet in the control panel, u can do this :

open group policy editor > user configuration > administrative templates > control panel > hide specedied control panle applets > properties > check enabled > show list of disabled control panel applets > add > Folder Options > ok > apply > ok.

to open group policy editor : click start > run > gpedit.msc > ok.

couldnt find this posted here. if already posted, pls delete this, mods.

U hv to do nothing to be nominated for MVP award. MS ppl keep their eyes on many online forums and they choose a few ppl from them.
So just keep posting and help other members in their problems.
