Default vb 6.... how do i go ab2...

hi evryone ...me jus learnin visual basic6 des days.....
i have been followin

visual basic from the ground up from gary cornell....TMH

my problem is that i have learned over ab2 controls..., mouse gestures(some what) , file handling , OOP's... what should i go for next....

the thing is i want the sequence that should followed while learnin vb....

any gud books for further look up.....

there are many books for vb why are u learning vb6 its a quite old editon any special rewquirents.if not go for The Visual basic 2005

i dont have visual studio 2005..........
i think vb2005 is compatible with vb6

You have missed out on 1 very important things. Databases!! You need to learn about them and how to use VB as frontend with Oracle, MSSQL, Access, MySQL, etc. I guess you start with Access and VB that will be simplest. See DAO and ADO both

hey wat if i jump on to vb.net................ can i sustain it..... i mean are vb and vb.net interrelated to the extent i have done ?.....my fren is learnin vb.net and i found a lot of similarity.............

also i dont understand the lying differenc b/w the two.... plz rectify someone
