Tut 4 Windows Registry

Can anybody provide a tut or suggest a book (preferably a free e-book) describing the functions of all key in a Windows registry, esp that of Win 2k Pro Ed. I would like to know the significance of each section of the Windows registry that appears when I open Registry Editor. I would also like to know what about the function of each key and how changing the values of the keys, changes the behaviour/appearance/performance of the OS. Since after installing 3P SWz aqdditional keays are included, I would like to know the functions of only those keys that are present immdiatley after performing a clean install of the OS on a formatted HDD

please feel free to report it. actually I had delated the post myself after I realised my folly. however since at that time I was on the forum using 2 different windows, it must not have got deleated.
I posted the request in the correct thread later
