Default How to fix corrupted Winsock settings.

malware/spyware can change or corrupt ur winsock settings. this can lead to internet connectivity problems.u may notice errors such as "page cannot be displayed", etc, in Internet Explorer. u will be able connect to the internet, but the packets won't transfer back n forth easily. If you have XP with SP2 installed, you can reset your winsock settings with a simple command. This is a godsend for removing spyware that changes Winsock settings and installs LSPs.

here r two good links which can help u reset your winsock settings,
and perhaps save u a windows reinstall.

winsoxk xp fix is a nice tool which helps u in such cases
