Default Getting rid of the irritating Yahoo update message...

This is a great tip, esp. for those using Dial-up...

Suppose you have an older version of Y!Messenger and it frequently reminds u to download the latest version and bugs you...

Then, goto C:\ (Or watever drive ur windows is in...)
Goto Program Files-> Yahoo-> Messenger->
Rename yupdater.exe and add some letter in front

This is known to work miracles to the speed to Y!Messenger...
This was successfully tested by @Raasm287...

Go on... Speed up ur Y!Messenger!!!

Another method is to deny the permission for Yahoo Updater in the Firewall (if you are using one).

tis work. yahoo loads faster.
@swatcat: the firewall does block it but no speed increase in loading yahoo msgr

If u do have it as well, plz just revert the rename back to yupdater.exe

side effects...yeah!! ....yahoo messenger keeps signing in and then signing out....not stable...

I always delete that file, whenever i install yahoo!
I never faced ne problem...
