I was planning to buy a netgear router, but i need some advice. I am using a reliance broadnet 400kbps flatfree plan from reliance infocom in pune.
The engineer tried to sell me a router while installation, and the reason he cited that my connection is for singular use and if i use multiple computers, or install router myself..the server will know...now i don't know this ****..i just said NO. but i have used 2-3 lappys connected alternatively as and when needed and faced no trouble..

so, just tell me if i can install the router myself, or it required some special settings as mentioned by the engineer..

i think the engineer in fooling, I don't think there will be special settings except the IP address or DNS Address
