Default change haircolour,lipsticks,bikes,removing beards, pimples.

Ever wondered why those models on the cover page have a beautiful face ?
you can have it too!!!

this is a general tutorial which will help you in performing various tasks in photoshop.....( very useful for beginners in photoshop ) .

1) changing colors.

The best way to give (change) realistic colours to the images is to use the
hue\saturation option .

1. select the part of image that you want to change the colour of using the lasso tool.

2. go to Image>adjust>hue/saturation.

3. tick the colourise and preview options.

4. adjust the hue and saturation levels to your taste .

5. dont change the brighteness levels drastically or else you will lose the originality of the image and the image will not look good.

APPLIED BEST TO: changing the colours of bikes, cars, hair, lipsticks etc.

2.) removing light beards, moustaches, pimples , cuts and other flaws in the face.( please dont use the despeckle option as it blurs the image )

1. use the smudge tool ( the finger ) from the tools.

2. practice using smudge tool slowly and efficiently to gain best results.

3. dont use the smudge tool near dimpled checks .

4. u can also use the blur tool .

please add your suggestions and improvisations in this topic.

Okay here goes. I hope you don't feel offended if I add my methods.

To change the colour of any part of an image.
This method is better than selecting the image with the lasso tool which can at times be difficult...

Step 1: Create a new layer. While having the new layer selected, paint over the part of the image you want colourised with any colour you like.

Step 2: Change the blend mode of the layer to Color.

Step 3: If you want to change the colour, just use the Hue/Saturation as vandit had explained.

Also, another way to change colour on the fly is to use the Color Replacement Tool. The only disadvantage is that you cannot colourise Grayscale colours and also, you cannot change colours later should you not like your colourising...(confused..)

As for removing pimples and all, there was a tutorial posted by nix and then I added my own salt in there:

I don't think the smudge tool is very efficient in removing scars and pimples, it is way to messy.

While the Hue/Saturation box is a very good option for beginners, The Colour Balance option (Ctrl+B) gives much more control. One needs a lot of practice to use it properly though...
