Best Institute for MCA in Maharashtra

My son appeared for MAH-MCA-CET-2011 and is placed 8th in general merit list.After analysing past data it seems he could get admission to any of the colleges.I am confused between VJTI,Mumbai and VIT,Pune.
I request you wise guys to suggest which one is best or you may suggest any better Institute.Fees is second priority because I want best for him in terms of faculty and other facilities and placement oppurtunities as well.

First preference should be to the VJTI, Mumbai. It's the best I know. Some of my friends' friends are studying there, but they are there because of category.

Some of my friends are studying in VIT, Pune. It is also a good place to start, though I don't know much about the faculties and other details.

Both institutes offer good facilities and placements.
Apart from these, the only institute I know better is IICMR, Pune.
Rest of the institutes I don't know.
