Default CONSIDERED SLi? DO SO

Well, you must be knowing the price of the XpertVision 9600GT to be just 5.5k(add 300bucks for VAT)=5.8k

Now catch two of them = 11.6k

This is equal to the price of the 9800GTX+.

But ever wondered the performance that 2 non-OCed 9600GT's give on SLi?

Well simply, it beats the 4850 and 9800GTX+ big time, add to that, it levels with the 4870 and GTX 260!

And just OC the card(monster OC card) and it will easily put the GTX 280 to shame in many many games, leave the other bunny cards.

I never thought about it until recently. Here compare them yourself:

http://www.guru3d.com/article/radeon...view-force3d/9

http://www.guru3d.com/article/geforce-gtx-260-review/9

And compare with the same games, u'll be surprised.

11.6k cards beating the 17k and 20k cards and almost bamboozling the 28k card(does so with OC dun worry), now that's nice a deal we haven't considered earlier.

Oh, check the latest prices of the cards at :

this is only for now....And if anyon'e gonna go for a nehalem config(that guy has to be tata's relative, distant bhi chalega0 get me

For now, E5200(shud be in India now)(Oces to 4Ghz on stock cooler!!!!)

and this SLi + 750i mobo for 7.5k is good.

But RAM @ 2GB DDR2 800MHz is more than enough(E5200 has 800MHz FSB)

Stock coolers will do if you dont plan to OC.

And ya, you will need a good PSU like Corsair 520W or CM eXtreme Power 600W.

What power does it consume ? I am sure that would be a huge negative point of this setup.
OCing 2 cards and expecting lower power consuption is madness.
And yeah, Rs. 7,500 for the motherboard, when you can instead go for a 3.5K mobo with HD4850 ?

Things appear rosy now, but at the end of the day, its the same as anything else.

^^Hmm......a decent C2D + 2GB RAM + 500GB drive and P35 mobo with a 9600GT consumes around 350-400W on max load so I think the SLi system might be consuming 500-550W.
