Re: Firefox 3.0 RC1 released
This release is far better than the previous beta 5 on my Vista Ultimate PC. It is using less memory now. As I encountered it is using around 30MB for 8 open tabs, and that is good enough.
The acidtest 3 results are just same like the previous, it scored 71 in my PC.

Re: Firefox 3.0 RC1 released
Got it today. On my Vista Home Premium System with 3 tabs open it is fluctuating between 56 to 77 MB. Speed has been improved.

It is still not available for Ubuntu via repositories. I ran the software upgrade but no avail. Hope it will be there soon.

Re: Firefox 3.0 RC1 released
If any extension doesnt work in this new version, then you can use following guide to make it working:
link removed
It happened to me when the "Styler" extension stopped working in 3.0 RC1 but now its working using the hack.

[OFFTOPIC]
Don't take it personally but you could have just said use Nightly Tester Tools instead of linking your blog like I have done here, even though I too have it on my blog. What do you think? [/OFFTOPIC]
ONTOPIC, the best version of Firefox yet, nice and neat

Thanks. I have no problem. Actually I posted the link because there are 3 methods mentioned to use incompatible extensions in that link. Sometimes Nightly Tester Tools might also become incompatible with Firefox new version, in that case the other methods might become useful.
Anyway as I said, I have no problem.

100+ MB usage is good, time's changed Andy, look at the rich visuals around you, look what your OS bought about among others.

The other browser tops at 80 mb for me Also, I think it might be that high at that time because I was streaming a movie. It's down to 60-70 mb now. Anyways, I have 1 gb ram, so until it stays in that range, it's fine for me.
