i think Ashampoo is going bust or sumthin - a few months back sum mag had given away ashampoo winoptimiser, the disc burnin sw etc for free

Yup, I got them. The first post stated that it was available only till Monday. I registered them yesterday and as public mail sites are banned@ my office, I couldn't verify it right there.
