Re: 9800GTX out
By the comparison with older 8800GTX/U, it seems it much slower than 9600GT SLI/8800GT SLI/8800 GTS 512 SLI or even the single card HD 3870 X2.
Not even reasonable improvement in higher resolutions....nvidia seems to be loosing the battle with 9 series. Only 9600GT lives upto hype nd its only nd only because of its sweet price.
Other that slight improvement in clocks and 65nm GPU, 8800Ultra seems much ahead of this new piece of so called monster.

Re: 9800GTX out
I wonder where wud this stand when ATI's HD 4870 and 4870X2 launches with 480 nd 960 shader units nd GDDR5 gets launched in June.
Will nvidia be able to launch somethin to compete them? They havnt even moved to DDR4 even if the GPU officially supports it, nd still the 65nm.
It seems like a further oced scaled down version of 8800GTX.

muhahaah...my assumption was pretty close.
seriously guys i had kept secret reserve of 4000 AED planning on 9800gtx but all that dream shattered.i thought 9800gtx would be hilarious in terms of stream processor, memory, memory interface and ROP.it could have been utter nonsense if i had switched over to 9800gtx from 8800gtx.just sharing my emotions and now i m relieved

Re: 9800GTX out
The card is priced at 350$ in the US and the 8800 Ultra is still costlier than this in US.
