^ see it again.its 512mb 8800GTS and the point here is that it costs only $350 which i think is almost around half of what a 8800GTX costs.and it performance is better than 8800GTX.so

stop posting dumb grpahic card post, not eveyone here plays games , i too play games but this is too much , also your wrong 8800 GTX from best buy costs around 399.99 $ right now also 8800 GTX is very overclocking friendly also it has more memory , & crysis on high settings with AA uses more memory than 512 MB V-ram , so they suffer slowdowns unlike 8800 GTX users.

Proff of price : -
768Mb Palit 8800GTX PCI-E $399.99 - Element Tech

Please don't post this stupid graphic card post again its overboard , i mean we aren't here to play only games on the pc , i mean each of uses PC for various reasons...not just gaming.

dude most of the threads in techno news are related to graphic cards and i dont give a damn if you dont like to play games.coz i think a graphics card also has other uses than gaming-depends how u use it.
and check this page-
http://www.theitwares.com/gfxcards/gfxcards.htm

8800GTS OC=18000
8800GTX=35000

First of all you posted the pirce in dollars & i replied you with the price which is found in US $

Second of all you will never see http://www.theitwares.com reduce the prize of 8800 GTX cause no really cares about it , in india no one buys 8800GTX cause they aren't rich but that doesn't mean 8800 GTX isn't fastest card out there. so you won't see 8800 GTX price reduce untill the 98xx series is released on that site.

Third this is the the limit , this is no news , they overclocked 8800 GTS against a stock clock 8800 GTX , what's the news in it ? you are posting like our crappy news channels like Aaj Tak .

Please don't post crappy post like that here , we have the game section to post all the overclocking things there , this section is too post quility news unlike this one, also i play games too but i just don't keep playing games 24/7.

i posted the price by seeing theitwares and roughly making it to dollars which is wrong actually.also prices on theitwares are correct and u will get goods just a little cheaper in the market.so the price of the cards is correct to a great extent.and this is not my own overclocked card that i m showing off-its a test.now i dont think it fits in the gamer's section.
today i browsed through a number of tech forums they all have this as a news which is for real and it just simply means 8800gts pwns 8800gtx at half price.which in turn will help someone to get a good card at a half price.so what is wrong ?

Default Re: 8800gts>8800gtx ?

Didn't i tell you no one in india would buy a 8800 GTX right now, also high end cards are better bought from US.

well its wrong for the following reasons :-

1) 8800 GTX can be overclocked to really high levels , it also has a bios file on the net to overclock it more.

2) 8800 GTX has more V-ram, today even 512 MB V-ram is not enough & to prove that see playing on high settings with AA & see the V-ram usage its over 600 MB so that means game will slow down many times when played.

3) Also it doesn't matter how many sites show them as news , but its wrong, if you see 5 people killing everyone will you start doing the same ? its wrong because you didn't check it , yes it true 8800 GTS is a better buy than 8800 GTX but that doesn't mean that you post it showing how a OCed card beats an stock clocked card.

when posting news you must spicify what is the truth , have you spicified the 8800 GTS is oced ? have you spicified crysis uses more v-ram then 512 MB on high settings with aa ? FPS doesn't matter they just need to be up 30 but the games needs to be smooth which only can be achive by using more V-ram.

This are the reasons why i said the news is crap , & if you really want to post like this stuff in the forum please spicfy everything , there are many newbies on the forum they aren't smart enough to know the truth, so please provide the truth from now on.

Edit :- also factory overclocked cards costs more so the prices you provide are wrong & the 8800 GTX isn't a overclokced one & i am sure it would cost around 28 k even in india right now & the XFX XXX version of 8800 GTS should be costing around 22-23 k ... so the prices diffrences aren't that big if you give it a thought.

the prices on that page are very much correct.u better go to some shop and see yourself.whats the need of specifying the need of vram in crysis when in practical the results are up in the first post.look man 8800GTX is stock and see in the first post-i've mentioned the rig used.so i think even a newbie would understand.and what makes you think no one would buy a 8800GTX?at least some rich guy would.theitwares updates prices on their webpage and they aint stupid enough to price a 8800GTS overclocked at a lower price.
its how u think but the truth is if the price of GTX is incorrect then the same is for GTS.but the difference still remains and the truth is that card rocks.

if this is all wrong tell me will 8600GT overcloced beat 8800GTX?it does not matter if the above review is done with a overclocked card.now this is the truth and you have to buy it.

just in case u think the prices are wrong.have a look..and i told u i saw this thread on the forums after i posted here.so i didnt copy this from any other site.if u have a problem with this thread why dont u just stay away?

Well simply Put no.I know about this fact.
But at a much higher resolution and with AA and Super Sample Transparency AA 8800GTS 512MB CRAWLS while the 8800 GTX runs like a charm.

yea right.i've seen in another test it runs great till u compare at 1600*1200 resolution.then it crawls.in lower resolutions than that it runs like a stock 8800gtx.thats exactly what i m tryin to tell this guy which he does not want to listen.VFM wise its a good card.

8800GTS 512 is best for mederate resolutions nd makes more sense for them who have 19" ~20" screens nd the max resolution is 1600*1200. But at higher resolutions like 2560*1900, the GTX rocks coz of higher memory nd higher mem bandwidth.
Hope the 8800GTS 1GB wud not be much a bottleneck at higher resolutions.

But for a SLI rig, 2*8800GT or 2*8800GTS makes more sense as the bottleneck bar is raised much higher and it can't be tottlenecked for mem or mem bandwidth at even 1600*1200 or even higher.
2*8800GTX not only costs a bomb, but the insane memory amount of memory nd total mem bandwidth is not fully used at even resolutions like 2560*1900. But the GPU clocks has more chance to become bottlenecks.

by far the most rig eating game is crysis and this card does well even at 1600*1200 with 4xAA and 8x AF.so its a very good buy indeed.
