Windows® XP Service Pack 3 (SP3) includes all previously released updates for the operating system. This update also includes a small number of new functionalities, which do not significantly change customers’ experience with the operating system.
Taken from the Microsoft website itself Another interesting info from the pdf : Microsoft is not adding significant functionality from newer versions of Windows, such as Windows Vista, to Windows XP through XP SP3. For instance, Windows XP SP3 does not include Windows Internet Explorer 7, although Windows XP SP3 does include updates to both Internet Explorer 6 and Internet Explorer 7, and it will update whichever version is installed on the computer. |

Well i don't know about what version of IE will you get, but one thing is sure, if you slipstreamed it in a pir@ted SP2 CD, it will break the crack. So if using pirated, better not integrate it into the existing SP2 integrated CD.
Here is something from the document :- Quote:

They are even planning to beef up anti-piracy checks in Vista SP1. SP1 will include updates that will target exploits like OEM Bios exploit and Grace Timer exploit and subsequently disabling them.

Apoorva, XP cds have IE6 so, slipstream will update IE6. However, if one had already slipstreamed IE7, it will update IE7

Hey, what do you mean by saying if one had already slipstreamed IE7? afaik, ie7 doesn't integrate into the xpsp2 source using the 'integrate' switch; are you talking about the rayanvm/ nr's method of integrating ie7 into xpsp2? or, does the newer build of ie7 easily integrated into spsp2? |

I never tried integrating IE7 but it can be done by nLite or other likes.

@casanova... then i'm afraid, may be you are not aware of this fact, integration of ie7 in true sense is not possible.
What nlite does is simply adds the ie7's entry in the guirunonce method/ unattended installation method. ps lemme try doing the same with the latest build of it. |
