Actually , Download Center is the area of Microsoft Website where you get all the downloads that Microsoft offers. Whenever you click a link on MS website which liks to a download, you are automatically taken to a page at Download Center, its kind of repository of MS software downloads. (Sorry to explain in so much detail, you might already knew some of it, but just to make it complete ).

Now Microsoft is redesigning it using its new SilverLight technology (SilverLight is a flash look-a-like technology based on XML standards for Vector Graphics and other content description.). Currently it is in beta and randomly, people who visit download center are offered to have a look at it. So thats what it is. In future, if all goes well, the original Microsoft Download center will be replaced by this new site.

Plz someone correct me if i am wrong somewhere.
