WTH .. I just installed 0.10 ..

I cannot check for new releases from within firefox. Also in updates tab, firefox checkbox is dissabled, How can I enable that? I forgot how to do this.

I prefer opera for firefox but had to use firefox to use many scripts...
But my vision is firefox is more and more becoming like ie7..
Opera still is winner for me..

The Reason being opera is winner for me and few other is.. its superb performance for dialup users.. though i'm not on dialup.. i was on dialup before.

Seems that FX is getting bloated. I hate to say this and I still use FX over Safari only for the extensions.

We got Greasemonkey, ABP and couple others for Safari. FX days are out numbered if things dont improve.

^ @ naveen.. afaik.. there is no such free browser for cellphones.. though we have NetFront.. its not free and it come only with SE Phones as their default brower..

Opera Mini 4 is the best in its class..

Soon Firefox is gonna launch Mobile Version.. have to wait and see

Have u tried FF 3 Beta 2?
It eats lesser memory and is faster than FF2 IMO.

I'm sure there will be .12 and .13 to cover up the damages that have been caused by this update.... Anyway, thankfully it doesn't cost much to update.

FF 3 eats less memory, boot time is faster and surfing is as good as it was before. But the downside neither scripts work nor addons

these are hte service updates for FF Version 2 n they will continue to e released even after FF 3 .

FF 3 is under heavy development .

btw , i'm satisfied with FF 2 features what do u expect in FF 3 ?

Why doesnt firefox autoupdate in linux? .. its always disabled ..

^^^ Coz its updated via package manager not natively. So when the repos haf the update, its updated; its usually couple of hours after mozilla issues the updated version.

Otherwise you can manuall download the updated version and install.

FF3 fixes many memory leak issues which are yet to be fixed in FF2
