Default iPhone SDK Apps are still controlled by Apple

well we all jumped around when we read that apple will be coming out with a sdk for developing app s for the iphone and the ipod touch but guys hold ur horses jobs has actually pulled off a jobs here-

the applications developed using the sdk and before being released will have to have a apple digital signature on them (nothing such required for apps on macs) now the possible fallout of thsi is that developers will not have a free hand at the applications that they make as in it is in all likely hood that certain applications such as skype wont be there coz hey it will hamper at&t

Same is the case with Nokia's Symbian phones. Security has always been of prime importance to Apple. I'm glad they're not being lax about it.

Thats good We'll soon see apps in two categories:

1) Apps Digitally signed by Apple (Secure Apps)
2) Enthusiast Apps by "any" developer (Installable using a "hack")!

SDK was all that was needed, Mr.Jobs. ThanQ We'll take care of the rest

This was already known at the time of announcements of the 3rd party SDKs by Apple. Stevie had said that they were impressed by Nokia's model.
But atleast the n00bs ll be able to use some apps in their fone now. And the SDKs ll help in the creation in more apps.

Yep... I'd rather prefer an app verified by Apple

I think they are pretty much going to ride the iTunes method of software distribution. Buy the stuff from the iTunes store and sync it with the iPhone.

Did you really expect them to keep the entire thing completely open? After all the 'trying to keep the hackers out'?

With the SDK out, lets see how "open" it is. Will it allow direct calls to hardware or mebbe via a layered approach? If so, then we may soon see a video recording application for the iPhone! Thats really good news!

Interesting.. never noticed it in their siggies! Lemme test my analysing skills... Looking at their and you guys' attitude towards Apple.. this is the only expansion I can think of:

Apple Fanboys, kiss my arse (if I expanded it correctly!)

No offence meant to anyone, was just guessing. Correct me if I am wrong. But if I am correct then kindly edit your siggy, guys!
