High price hitting sales, according to survey. Claudine Beaumont investigates
The iPhone's steep price may be affecting its sales figures
In a survey conducted by GfK NOP, almost three-quarters of those people questioned said that they would not buy an iPhone because of its high price. Just two per cent of those surveyed said they would be adding the iPhone to their Christmas lists.
The iPhone's steep price may be affecting its sales figures
The iPhone – which combines an iPod music player with a web browser and mobile phone – went on sale in the UK earlier this month, and costs £269. Users also have to sign up to an 18 month contract with O2, Apple's excluisve network partner in Britain, with tariffs starting from £35 per month.

Ofcourse.... the iPhone is highly priced in the UK. But then again, every item is, compared to the ones in the US.

Re: Apple iPhone too expensive, say consumers
Guys, I was just around the major Grey market area in Bangalore. I saw the iPhone available for Rs. 36000 or roughly 900$ .
Really really ***** Expensive !!!
Not worth the price man ... atleast for now. And also none of the operators will support it until it is officially released Here.

Re: Apple iPhone too expensive, say consumers
UK is the sh1ts. The iPhone costs $400 in the US which seems quite reasonable for a device of it's class. People from the UK buy apple products from the Indian apple store! Since when have electronics become cheaper in India than abroad.

Re: Apple iPhone too expensive, say consumers
well I think, apple feels that their products are worth the overpricing,as they are supposed to be used by the so called Elite(richie rich!)
So,if iphone costs a bomb, apple fans will buy it for its flaunt value!
Buying a mac means definitely ur converted into a religion.what to say!
