Windows 7 "top feature request list" leaked to the public
Source
And
Windows users request OS X features
The Windows Early Feedback program was created by Microsoft as a means of rounding up suggestions and feedback that may be considered for implementation in future iterations of the Windows operating system. The team in charge of the program has collected and released a list of (what they consider to be) the top 61 suggestions to be presented to the development team of Windows 7.
The ideas being presented to the team range from basic usability improvements, such as a download manager in Internet Explorer, to more far fetched ideas, such as the ability to back up Xbox 360 games to a PC (good luck with that one). Some of the top suggestions are even features that were promised for and then dropped from Vista, such as a completely vectorized graphical user interface.
Any of the ThinkDigit MVP's suggestions in the list ? Any of the suggestions from the old thread ?

Re: Windows 7 "top feature request list" leaked to the public
Thanks for the post, bro. But I am little confused with the so called requested features. For eg.-
• IE should have a close button on each tab (Safari)
It already has!!!
• Image (ISO, BIN) supprt in Windows (disk images)
MS will be called monopolistic
etc.
And Macuser posting such stuff. Strange!

Re: Windows 7 "top feature request list" leaked to the public
No, actually the list is a set of suggestion made by participants in Microsoft's Early Feedback programme. I am not sure MVPs are there or not. The source is the first link.
And mac users think Windows users request OS X features, thats is why they explained it at the second link.

Re: Windows 7 "top feature request list" leaked to the public
Well if Windows 7 really integrates MAC OS X's features, then i'll never try it (which they dont do )
Anyway, thanks for the info

Re: Windows 7 "top feature request list" leaked to the public
First Link:
I have read about this in engadget.. but one commenter there points out "The Windows Early Feedback program was extended to most of the Vista beta participants. This has been around for ages now, I don't see much of the big deal."
ppl are just blindly copying the title.
Read More Here
most of them are already there and others can be fixed via hot fixes or service packs. this doesnt even remotely seem like a wishlist for a new OS.
and obviously MS cannot implement many of the points mentioned because everyone will call 'monopoly'
think about this... the big names in anti-virus software industry like McAfee and Norton publicly threatened to sue MS for some of the inbuilt security features in Vista, calling monopoly. such a huge market share and 3rd party developers for windows has its own disadvantages.
Second Link:
lol what else would you expect from macuser.co.uk

Re: Windows 7 "top feature request list" leaked to the public
I just want a single thing from them.
Give up a game mode kinda thing which switches off everything leaving only the gfx api's essential drivers and associated files,so that we the gamers can utilize the whole power of our beast...just like a switch turning our pc into a console..
Cant it be done.
Everytime i play some heavy games i used to end task explorer.exe so that i can play the game with additional ram.

hehehe I also wish so.. but think if that was possible will there be consoles ?
explorer.exe occupies 25 MB of RAM for me what effect that is going to have for my system with 1GB RAM
whether you use a car for normal city driving or racing on the highways, the basic car functions are the same.. they are just magnified according to situation. so if you are keen on racing more you need a better engine etc etc

and why do you even install vista in that sys
BTW your suggestion is good only...
and liked the auto rickshaw comparison but still p4 sys is not the one for underground racing

Well i have 8600GT in that system.

What?
Microsoft always copies the features in OS X and *nix and their creativity can't match that of their counterparts.
FYI, this is posted from a OS X. I love Mac OS but still there are some areas where I want Apple to copy some 3% of Windows features.

Re: Windows 7 "top feature request list" leaked to the public
^^ Use Vista for some time with all the updates installed. Get used to it & you'll know its better. The pirated ones are slow!
Offtopic- When did you install Giga Cores in that dog? Don't tell me that with that processor the dog will catch cats faster
