![]() Xenitis Infotech Pvt Ltd has launched lowest-ever priced laptop Xuva T14WN costing only Rs 19,900. Xenitis group announced that the Xuva T14WN will be available at dealer outlets across India. Xuva T14WN is powered by Intel Celeron processor and is aimed at students and entry level professionals who are looking for mobility solutions. Low cost laptops have become very popular recently as the price difference between a laptop and a desktop has reduced quite substantially. Xuva T14WN is with Intel Celeron M 14.Ghz processor, Intel 945 GM Chip Set and 256 MB RAM. Xenitis has launched the model with 80 GB Hard drive and upgrade for RAM and Hard Drive is possible. Xenitis Group chairman Mr. Santanu Ghosh termed Xuva T14WN as people’s laptop. Mr. Ghosh said that the company expects good sales numbers as the configuration is good for entry level laptop and price is very affordable. The company has launched the model just before Diwali and sales could be higher in this festive season. Mr. Ghosh said, “"We believe the sub 20 K laptop will result in mobility, flexible working hours for working populace and thus leads to increased productivity for companies as well.” With laptops priced just bit higher than desktops, consumers will be more interested in buying a laptop. Xenitis owns a nice market share as the company launched Xuva Series with competitive pricing in year 2005. Many companies are now trying to take their share from low-cost Laptop market. Lenovo recently launched its laptop priced at Rs 30000. Zenith is also trying to grab market share by offering cheap laptops. ACi plans to offer laptop for just Rs 15000 in year 2008. Source |

not bad effort actually...
i expect more from ACi though.. i mean add up more 256 mb ram and it will be Win Vista Ultimate comaptible.. though remember its Celeron M ! i mean the Celeron maybe 2 ghz or more but it has a paltry 256 kb cache but Celeron M has a whopping 1 MB.. not bad.... though for the low cost market, id want a chepaer processor like simple celeron with reduction in price as well @ pathiks.. whats the price of ASUS model?
