Default Mozilla takes on MS Silverlight and Adobe AIR

Quote:
The program is called Prism and is intended to address the problem thus described by Mozilla:

“Personal computing is currently in a state of transition. While traditionally users have interacted mostly with desktop applications, more and more of them are using web applications. But the latter often fit awkwardly into the document-centric interface of web browsers.”

It's like flash but with much more features and very higher performance than Flash.

One of the reasons for that is because you can use any .NET programming language to develop web-apps in SilverLight.
But its still not platform independent.
I Know Mono Exists,But it isnt anywhere close to reproducing a .NET clone.
