Nike Amp+: LED Watch and iPod Remote



Nike has launched its new Amp+, a watch and iPod remote control. You'll still need to buy the Nike+ iPod kit to use it as anything other than an LED watch, but you'll get away with using a ratty old pair of Converse if you don't want to spring for the a pair of iPod compatible shoes.

The $70 Amp+ controls your iPod via the familiar switch layout on the face, and displays icons to let your know what it's up to. A side button activates your Power Song, and you can call up a voice readout of time, distance, calories or pace without touching the iPod in your pocket. Available now, from Nike, but not yet from Apple.

How can one be so lazy even when exercising?
I have heard iPod being a remote but why would one need a remote for ipod? Just take it out of his pocket!
