New Trial Version of Nero 8 Ultra Available – Just 178 MB

In fact, Nero 8 aims to be a digital lifestyle suite, offering everything from integrated digital media to an entertainment solution. The product comes complete with a range of components bringing to the table editing, sharing, creating, converting, ripping and burning functionality. Currently Nero 8 is approximately $99.99, but it can go as low as $79.99.
Nero 8 is also optimized for integration with Microsoft latest operating system, Windows Vista, although the product also supports Windows 2000 SP4, Windows XP and Windows Server 2003. In this context, Nero informed that there are some issues with installing Nero 8 on 64-bit editions of Windows Vista. For example the gadgets will be inaccessible on x64 Vista.

178 MB!!! It is way too much!!! Is there any option to download only the burning software only??? Cannot access the nero homepage or softpedia for more as they are blocked in my office

Yup, its much faster in consuming da ram nd processor utilization. No compromise there.
For image burning , use Alcohol. Its much much stable nd very very light on resources. For data/video/audio etc use Cheetah Burner. That too is fast nd light.

Well to all of you saying that 178MB is too much for a burning software...here comes Nero Micro 8.0.3 which is about 13MB is size!!

178 mb!!!Even the good lod windows 95 took less than a third of that.Are you sure it's "Nero CD/DVD burner" and not "Nero OS"..

The day won't be far when they will release OS.It will be some what 5 dvd's in size.Presenting ZeroX... Min req-quadcore,4gb ram,30 gb disk space.

and wht are you guyz cribbin abt , nero ultra 8.0.3 is sm 993MB and Nero 7 Premium itself was 523 MB
