Unreal Tournament

I installed UT (the first one --- Plz don't confuse it with UT2003 or 2004)

It ran well even under WinXP SP2 !!!
But suddenly, after some weeks, It showed up an error that something was wrong (It said something about Terrain (as far as I remember (I don't have a good memory)))

It failed 2 open since then even in the safe mode !

So I reinstalled !
That fixed IT !
But I had to play the for the championship all over again !

Can any1 help me ?
at least tell me the cause !

One of the texture maps would have been corrupted and if that was called during the initialization of the game, then it wouldn't load properly and will quit with an error. A simple check on the texture name in the error log of UT, and a copy of the file from the original CD would have fixed it.

yup u followed the unnecessarily lengthy procedure as stated just file replacement could have done it
