Stardock has released DeskScapes 1.02.

Stardock DeskScapes allows users of Windows Vista Ultimate to have dynamic, animated wallpaper. It works as an extension to the Windows DreamScene Ultimate Extra that is available to all users of Windows Vista Ultimate.

Deskscapes now has a power saving feature that automatically turns off the animations when running on battery power. If you’re ever working on a laptop, this feature will especially come in handy as it will extend battery life, without having to remember to shut off the Dream animation manually. This feature is set as a default but can also be turned off manually by the user.

DeskScapes 1.02 also comes with a new Copper dream that creates a copper pool of ripples on your desktop. To find more dreams visit http://dream.wincustomize.com.

its been there since a looooooooooong time. u can use xwinwrap for that on a linux box.

It allows different dreams to run at different times. So in the morning you can have a sun rise dream, a shining sun at afternoon and a moon light display at night
