Re: Latest Browser / OS Statistics.
A trusted analysis. I agree it has it faults as only those sites which add their code to their site were included, so it would leave out all the major and big sites, but still, it is the generalised trend.
I hope the Mac vs Windows fight does not start over here.

Re: Latest Browser / OS Statistics.
No of chinese web pages on the internet is greater than english ones, but still that counter shows only 2.4% visits from china! This is probably a counter for english/western based websites only .
This would obviously affect all other counters as well

Re: Latest Browser / OS Statistics.
My observations:
*Firefox is gaining in leaps and bounds in popularity.8)
*Windows XP still rules. Who will buy the expensive Vista?

Linux share may be much more(>5%?).but it is difficult to calculate may be coz of different distros.and not to forget the server counts!

Doesn't all Linux distro's come under the same catagory "Linux". Means 1.34% included all sort of Linux.

Not correct, thats your own personal subjective thinking which holds no truth outside your mindset

This is irrelevent, don't u think.? Firefox comes with almost all Linux distributions. Safari comes with Mac OS X. Why don't u say about those then.

This is a genuine reason, IE Works fine for most of the people.

And thats the point. On what basis Linux & Mac users say that there OS is gaining ground while Windows is going down, when surveys like this reveal the truth that only a minority of people use Linux or Mac.
Mods...sorry but I just can't stop laughing at the Linux & Mac users here who claim "Vista/XP/IE is loosing ground"

Re: Latest Browser / OS Statistics.
The stats are actually correct. I have seen Webstats of very popular and same type of results.
Most linux users still have Windows on their PC and yes i said MOST and not all
Some might say...server might have recognised different Linux Distro properly....remember most SERVERS run on Linux inclusing mine and they do recognize linux users very properly

Re: Latest Browser / OS Statistics.
@piyush gupta
IE 6 losing, IE 7 gaining
FF 1.5 losing, FF 2.0 gaining
When a new ver browser comes and when people think its better, naturally it gains.
In that case, no losing for any.
And somebody mentioned servers ?
Heres some stats too
Apache 18,166,994 73.52%
Microsoft 4,851,577 19.63%
More Here ..
So instaed of the lin-win fight Let win rule the desktop and let Lin rule the server I mean for the time being ...

Re: Latest Browser / OS Statistics.
@Choto Cheeta
I have several websites and I absolutely agree people using win and IE and more than people using lin or FF
But considering the %, both IE 7 and FF 2 are gaining, so no point in telling some lose ground.
