Tata Indicom has launched the Plug 2 Surf Whiz USB modem device for its customers in Maharashtra.

Plug2Surf Whiz is a wireless device that directly fits into a standard USB port available in most Desktops and Laptops to provide instant net connectivity.

Priced at Rs. 2850, 'Plug2Surf Whiz' has simple tariff plans ranging from Rs. 299 per month for home users to unlimited data access for the heavy user segment. TTML also offers special tariffs for night usage targeted to the youth segment and companies with global operations in different time zones.

They already have a USB modem option, plug 2 surf, but that is bit different. We can use it for making calls too. This one (plug 2 suft whiz) is just like a USB drive, easy to use but of course - no voice option

Whats the cost of the setup, & monthly cost for unlimited internet at anything above 128kbps?

Sorry for the confusion gx, this is CDMA one and no way to get above 128kbps

And tATA plug 2 surf has no unlimited option (the press conf of TATA shows unlimited net option but tht is wrong I think). Max is 5 GB limit for Rs.1500 a month. Of course good for only those who do not have any other alternatives.
