There's no say about reducing piracy there. And those full fledged cracks were available from Mid Feb itself

coz if crackers can hack the bios why cant microsoft??you'll probably be looking for new cracks when sp1 comes.

So what does this thing do exactly, will it fool MS servers into activating the copy or will it allow Vista to run without activation at all.

Runs without activation coz branded computers with Vista from large manufacturers like Dell, Asus, Lenova, HP, Acer don't require activation.
