And this coupled with Google's hate for the German legislation to ban all anonymous accounts might pull GMail out of there forever ..

Google has also filed lawsuits against Giersch in Spain, Portugal and Switzerland...But a court in Switzerland threw out Google's case...

Google tried a buy-out and even legal brow-beating, but failed to reach a settlement. the guy was using and had regd the G-Mail trademark 3 years earlier ! so the courts ruled in his favour.

A case of corporate bullying here ? But then its not Microsoft, its Google...so things will be viewed in a different perspective
