Thumbs up Yahoo offers web-based IM


Yahoo on Thursday launched a web-based version of its free instant messaging service .

The service is initially launching in India, Brazil, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam and the United States. It is to be made available in other countries through the rest of the year.

Yahoo Messenger for the Web is available online at :

http://webmessenger.yahoo.com

tried it , looks great n as it's flash based so interactivity is perfect(ie very low response time)

Got it working, just removed the close.php from the link & reentered teh page. New emoticons are good

They should have done it like gmail...login to ur email & u automatically login to messenger...Anywayz looks a little bit like meebo
