Default The Ultimate Mac setups

P.S. - I am still against the Mac marketing philosophy

Some people use there Macs like a portrait, well....indeed they are nicely designed machines, now only if they could leave the smugness & cut the costs.

i found this in Gizmodo, some of the ultimate mac setups. Copy pasted from there

The wing setup

mac mini PVR, which correctly shows...behind every computer, lies bunch of tangled wires

Mac mini on HDTV

Mac on a Wall

Ultimate MacStations

I had a perfect setup in mind. Wanted to wallmount my iMac and do all those kinds of neat glass things, paint the walls n all. Then I find out that Apple screwed me over. The 20" iMac, Intel Core duo onwards, does not have wall mounting facility. The G5 has it, and so does the new 24inch iMac (out of my limits though..)

I guess I'll have to chalk out a new plan...

I had seen the last pic before....wonder what such a mac fan is doing with a crappy dell machine (down below the tables n all)

The fourth setup looks fantastic! Simplicity at its very best. I so want that table lamp on my desk right now....

May be he is just not the 'typical mac user' who thinks everything else in the world is inferior .

Why do people hang lemons on their cars? It is the same reason here: Nazar na lage!

Those pictures are heavenly. GOD! I would kill to have a Mac Pro and a 30-inch display.

BTW, a Mac Mini is capable of driving that HD-TV!!! Man, look at its size!

Of course the Mac mini can drive an HDTV. Only thing is sometimes there's a resolution incompatibility thing (1366x768)....not sure how they fix that. Otherwise even a 1080p HDTV works fine on a Mini...

WOW! That's seriously cool.

One thing is for sure, not many Mac Mini owners would like to purchase an Apple TV.

Mac mini & 1080i , r u sure milind? cos GMA 950 & that core 2 duo are enough for 720p but 1080i....I doubt.

besides, as far as I have seen Mac mini doesn't come with any TV\HDTV out. If you look at tha page you will find that the guy used many cables behind that TV & Mac mini along with a Tuner box

All I can see in that picture is a tiny computer driving a huge high definition television and it seems to be working perfectly fine. Though I am myself surprised at how that is possible, it looks wicked!

Bhai GX, I used to power my dell 1920*1200 with a GMA900, with 32MB shared memory. And I played 1080P movies just as i played 1080i movies. And the Core Duo chip is quite a bit more powerful than a pentium 4...So.

The only thing I'm not sure is how it works with 16:9 ratios of 1366*768 n all that, otherwise, its DVI port can easily be converted to HDMI (both work on the same principle) and the mini sports optical out for sound so it can be connected to a receiver.

From the looks of it, that big HDTV sports a 1080p resolution...

Sorry! It wasn't really my fault though. They'd increased the inbox capacity to hundred and then chopped it back to fifty. Look at the attachment.

Anyway, fire away your message now. I have made some room.

The Joys of Four Cores and 10GB+ of Ram

I had a quad-core Mac Pro with 2GB RAM and 1TB hard disk, but here's a link to a better Mac Pro:
