Apple Receives 10 Design Awards

Apple is currently one of the most loved companies in the world because its technologies attracted a huge number of fans for most of its products.
As you surely know, the iPods, the Macs and many other Apple products are some of the best sellers on the Internet because they include innovative features meant to enhance the computer activities. Today, MacNN reported that Apple won 10 design awards offered by the International Forum in Hannover, Germany because the company managed to include exciting functions into a powerful design.

“The Cupertino-based company was honored with International Forum Gold Awards for its iPod, second-generation iPod nano, MacBook Pro, MacBook, iPod Hi-Fi, iPod Radio Remote, and iPod Leather Case. The company's Wireless Mighty Mouse, Apple Remote, and second-generation iPod Shuffle all took home Product Design Awards after Judges examined 487 products from 32 countries, according to Setteb.it,” MacNN reported.

The announcement comes just a few days after an interesting case was reported by a forum member that claimed his MacBook was overheated and burned in fire after the battery was melted down. Although the Apple representatives sustained they will visit the member to replace the MacBook with a new one, this isn't quite a remarkable aspect of the Apple company. I guess the judges were only looking at the features of the products, avoiding analyzing the cases reported in the entire world.

All in all, Apple is really a powerful company because it managed to attract an impressive number of clients although the power of the Internet firms was controlled by other big names. So, if you are a Mac fan or at least an Apple lover, you should be really proud!

Yup, Apple Mac has some of the bet designer hardware out there but....buy one only if..

1) You plan to use it as it is with no intention of upgrading

2) You don't plan to use XP\Vista Media centre on it. Or rather not use it as a TV.

3) You Don't play games.

4) You don't do programing & learn programing for Win32 enviroment.

I would have seconded you, because I too feel that gx is a bit of confrontational, when it comes to mac.....

But the fact is fact, and what ever he has pointed out is unfortunately is correct....

Seriously though, I just ran a search and there are 402 threads dedicated to Apple, Macs and the iPhone on this forum. I did not include the iPod because that would have blown things out of proportion. Cool. I hope the trend continues...

1) Here are the current specs of my mac:

I can upgrade the RAM to 16GB, the hard drive to 3TB, and the display to more than one 30" Cinema Displays. And the CPU can be upgraded too. Don't that count as an upgrade?

3) I play several games on my mac.

4) You can program using XCode and the development tools are included with every Mac.

Diablo2, COD series and C&C Generals are the only games on the list I played and didnt hate. My fav games HL series, GTA series, FEAR series and KOTOR series is missing. Well KOTOR 1 is there but not KOTOR2 , NOLF1 is not there but NOLF2 is there.

Right now XP is gaming platform. Vista , linux and Macs suck. Linux can be useful though if one wants to use it for cheap lan party computers to play UT2004 , q3 etc. Vista lacks EAX support, low fps and compatibility issues and Mac doesnt have the best games on its list.

To play games on mac one has to buy windows XP pro and a windows keyboard. Also most of the gaming peripherals like 5.1 speakers dont work with Mac. My gamepad doesnt have mac drivers. Mac maybe way better than windows in everything else but for gaming XP is still the king.

1. Why do you need a "windows keyboard"? Are the Insert, Delete and Print Screen keys absolutely essential for gaming?
2. 5.1 speakers don't work with Macs! What's next? I guess even mouses don't work and monitors too? Bring the best speakers you've got that work with a PC and they'll work with Macs.
3. Your gamepad does not have Mac drivers because it doesn't need any. I just connected a Frontech gamepad to my MBP yesterday and it worked right out of the box without having to do anything at all. And it worked in a second without any irritating balloons informing me that the system was installing drivers for it.

All this does not mean that Mac OS X is the better gaming platform. No, it isn't. Not by a long shot. But all your points were wrong.
