Yep. It is already implied and will continue. Windows was, and will have the bigger pile in OS market share which will have direct impact on PC market share.

Default not possible

How can Vista 'eat' into Apple's marketshare. Apple doesn't have enough marketshare for anyone to 'eat' into.

thats right . . no one can eat in to apples market share unless they manage to get a market share big enough to be eaten . by the way , when it comes to 3d nothing beats apple except Linux .
__________
its a pleasure to work in apple . maya especially . and the powerful compositing software "shake " . . wow . 3d is truly apple and Linux realm . as its easy to manage a render farm with Linux and runs superbly well . oh, sorry for going off topic

that should be only for another 1-2 months. The situation will reverse when apple launches leopard, their new operating system in March-april. microsoft came head to head with OS X Tiger (they thought) but now comes Leopard with power and features never seen before. This will definitely increase Mac PC share.
