Exclamation Is Google Falsely Flagging Harmless Sites?

Some Web site operators are complaining that Google Inc. is flagging their sites as containing malicious software, when they believe their sites are harmless.

At issue is an "interstitial" page that appears after a user has clicked on a link within Google's search engine results. If Google believes a site contains malware, the page will appear, saying "Warning -- visiting this Web site may harm your computer!"

Default Re: Is Google Falsely Flagging Harmless Sites?

With such a large database, some mistakes are bound to happen.

But, yes, Google should take care so that business interests of firms are not affected. An example of an IT firm in Rajasthan was given in one of the articles. For example, if this firm is about to clinch a deal for creating a software for a company, and some one from the company searches for the website of this firm on google, and on clicking Google gives the warning page, then it could be a deal breaker for such an IT firm!

It's very worrying, especially for the SEO guys employed by such firms. That would mean a pink slip for 'em.
