bangalore is going to be the first wimax enabled city???

i saw this in a local news paper that bangalore is oing to be the first wimax enabled city. is this true that its the first city going to be wimax enabled???
i dont know when it is going to start the service.... but its a great news to hear about the technological advancement riht?
is there any other city in India which is providing wimax service???

yup..Bangalore going to be Wireless..even now the service is running in some areas...Like M.G road and jayanagar..plans are to introduce it in 40KM radius around Bangalore...But anyway nobody will get a free service...U have to take subscription and pay for it...
