yeah, i noticed the crash problem early on. fx crashes on loading a heavy document. prolly an update will fix the issue.

no, it's not mandatory for you to immediately update to them. you'll still be able to browse almost all sites without problem.
though both browsers bring with them considerable security updates and new features. so, in case you've been using IE or FX, update the one you actually prefer to use. In case you use some other browser such as Opera or Maxthon, why worry about updating IE or FX?
