It is saying more recent version of wmp 11 installed. But I have Beta 2. Its not letting me install final version.

anyway, just installed, the previous user mode driver frame work is included in it this time, i installed it over my previous installation of beta 2, & so far all is perfect

whoa , WMP 11 Final is amazing , the startup time is less than 1/4'th of WMP 10 n WMP 11 Beta 2 , n the interface is now nicely tuned n there isn't a delay of even a second , everything is just super fluid , Love it .

WMP 11 beta 2 was feature complete, the final version is just bugs & stability fixed, no new features have been added over beta 2

WMplugins.com has been updated with the new look now, it's a definite startup site for WMP plugins

well final version is way faster than beta 2, apart from that i don't think there's any difference , chck the release notes on WMP 11 download page to see what's changed from beta 2 .

I though wish that it looked like the one in vista <sigh>, well they will do this to keep Vista at an edge I guess. Hope any skin to make it look like that will be out soon (plz do share if you lay your hands on one)
