Smile Re: Windows Vista Prices Officially Announced by Microsoft

Please Do Not Go By the prices Realised By Microsoft Canada. They Are Only Applicable to the North American Market.Even Now In Microsoft's US Website Price of Windows XP Home Edition is Mentioned as $199.00 while as for developing countries like India the Same is Available For Much Less at Rs 3350/- in New Delhi. Hence When Vista is Realised at least the Home Basic Version would cost not more than Rs 3500/- or else every one will buy pirated versions.

As For Me i am much more than happy with my Licensed Windows XP Home Edition and have no interest in upgrading for another a year. Let Vista Come and Stabilise in the Market and then i would see!

Oh God! It is going to be a setback for Microsoft (though not in India). It is expensive.
