lets just hope that the firefox guys don't fall under the spell of microsoft and start producing mediocre grade software like internet explorer,or is this just one of their tricks to get firefox down and IE up?

When MS had copyright problems concerning GUI with apple, they jointly signed a pact...only for Apple to repent later
Is this same with Firefox too???

There has been some speculation of that. For example, over the past year, Microsoft has spent near $650 Million in buying up a large number of small companies -- around 23, I think. It has a lot of money, and it's using it. Now if only they'd use it on making less buggy software...
