The photo is black and white on purpose. Evidently Microsoft has color coded all of its 150 Zune prototypes, so that if pictures get leaked, they can find out which of the prototypes it was and infer which employee leaked it. In order not to get anyone fired, the photographer took it in b/w.

saw it on dailytech 2 days ago, but not bad design, more simple then Zen Vision, now if only they can provide about 6 hrs of video playback on single charge, & the ability to run from standard AAA Battery, this will be a boon for me , long live train journeys

By the way, someone was saying to me, if Zune has FM transmitter, it won't be allowed in India, I wonder why, cos we already have Zen Neeon, Zen vision here, even iPod FM accessory etc, nobody stops them, or maybe it was just scariness

I think its got something to do with the certifications ? (The CE and all) its even illegal in the UK (the ipod accessory) I think. Due to some old electronic frequency law...
