And good news for Intel fans, Intel has announced the prices for Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Extreme. The lowest model, Core 2 Duo E6300 (1.86GHz, 2MB L2 Cache) starts at $183!!! and even that beats the hell out of AMD X2!!

well though i've always been an AMD fan this time i must applause for intel ... they've done a very decent job by coming up with the core duos ,especially the core 2 extreme .... but do u think that AMD will remain reticent .... i dont think so ...just like intel has sprung back into action i think AMD will also tighten up .... sad to say this for now i think AMD will have to decrease the prices of most of its processor in order to remain in competition

Welll duuhh !!! If Intel didn't bring anything to se-throne AMD .. what would be the point ??? But that doesn't mean AMD is bad !!! I wonder how many can actually afford the high end Conroe's ... and for the rest .. i don't seem to find any E6300 benchmark's , rather AMD comparisons ... strange na ???

Also ... wait and see ... do u really underestimate AMD .??
