i think its a not a good improvement over 1.5.0.4

all ur addons will get disabled ..... but by now i have found a cure:

Extensions are disabled acc. to version they are used in : If an extension is specified by its author only to be compatible with 1.x then Firefox will deactivate it in 2.x, simply because the author said so, not because it won’t work. 90% of all extensions actually do work once the compatibility status has been updated.

You can either do this manually or use the “Nightly tester Tool” ( https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/958/ ) which adds a “Make compatible” option to the Addon manager.....

Let they release the final product!! Since it is in testing phase, it may contain some
bugs!! So better wait for the final product FireFox 2.0.

It will be released in September and fire fox 3 in august 2007.

Btw. Dont install this version and it is highly unstable and of course it is BETA

v1.5.0.5 is just around the corner ... v2.0 has only some added features like anti phishing , spell checking etc. etc. ... otherwise u won't find much diff. in performance ..

Also .. if u do try this .. then also try v3.0 alpha 1 codenamed "Minefield" ... its quite awesome ... infact better than v2.0 beta 1 RC3 that i tried earlier ...

I d/l ed & installed Firefox 2.0 BETA1, Its quite good.

Has many new features, like:

1.) Built-in Spell checker, which helps in many cases like posting in forums.

2.) Close button on each tabs.
3.) Improved search engine.
4.) Session manager. Though there is no option to change settings for it but its there coz yesterday ff crashed and when I again opened it it asked me whether it should start a new session or restore previous session? And it restored the previous session s/o ne problem!
