Just imagine they had not slashed the $100 from the tablet. So now, Sony would be selling a tablet for a profit margin of ATLEAST $100 on a $500 tab or 20% of the original price.
Wow... that's some great margin, which is at least.
Now multiply it with all those expensive laptops Sony sells without such cutoffs!! Loot!

The Tablet price is 26,990 for wifi version. For the 3G + wifi version on Tablet S, the price version is Rs 33,990.
I tried it yesterday at Sony Centre, it worked very well and was pretty responsive as well.
