That's bound to happen.
SSDs need more awareness among people for their prices to even further fall. For general ordinary user, SSDs are far more worth than a high-end processor or high-end graphics card.

SSDs are not just about 15 sec bootup are they?
SSDs are something which neither the people who have not used it realize its significance nor do the people who are using an SSD. But the people who have actually have their SSDs taken from them can vouch for their value.

Of couse there are plenty of tasks SSDs won't help. My only point is they do more than faster bootup time.

For all I care, 0.054$/GB is still cheaper than 1$/GB.

News sounds good. IMO it will take 2-3 years more to be available at reasonable price which is affordable to all users.
