Default Tag Your Discs With LabelTag!

With LabelTag, a circular label on the data side of any DVD+R or DVD-R disc can be created containing basic information visible by the eye. When burning the user data, the label is printed directly behind that data in the same recording session, and on normal recording speed on the same recording layer side.

Labeltag does not need special discs like lightscribe, it works on all dvds available in the market, Lite-on produces drives that utilizes this technology, many 3rd party drives can also be flashed with Lite-on firmwares to use this feature.

Does this mean that printing the label will eat up some of the space on the DVD? Since it is on the same layer as the data?

Nice find btw.

On Wiki its mentioned:

a 5 mm label at the inside requires 10% capacity, and at the outside of the disc about 20% of the disc capacity.

You can't, you need to buy a drive that can use this feature, like Lite-on drives, apps like Nero have this feature but can only be used if it detects a compatible drive.
