Default Google Tried to get Android on Nokia mobile

FROM - Google Tried to get Android on Nokia mobile

Quote:
Google in the ongoing Mobile World Congress in Barcelonna has said that it had tried hard to bring Android operating system to Nokia mobiles but sadly they choose the Microsoft Windows operating system!

Nokia Reportedly had said before that one of the reasons it didnt choose android is because they didnt want to get its name lost in the gray forest of Android devices

Google Chief Executive Eric Schmidt said.
"We would have loved if they had chosen Android. They chose the other guys,"

"We had confidential negotiations with Nokia that were very extensive."

Last year Googel had said in Barcelona event last year that they are putting mobile at the centre of its strategy.
And now Google Android even surpassed Symbian which ruled the smartphone market from a long time and has become the No.1 operating system

that's not news buddy, we all know that it didn't take off. Maybe Stephen is still loyal to Microsoft, that's why the talks failed

Anyways, whatever happened, it was good. Competition is necessary to bring out innovation...

Yeah. Nokia is so dead for the next 5 years or so.

2010 Q4 stats.

OMFG....Nokia teaming up with windows wich is already dead.

Nice freakin decisions by nokia. Now nokia has only one BRAHMASTRA left. Its unique abilty to provide the best hardware at the cheapest rates. I hope its epic R&D investment works out. By the way. Nokia's everything including hardware right now sucks.

Tee Hee....~~~!!

yeah, rightly said Goten but this move may popularize WP7... I mean I don't know, but there are still lot of people who swear by Nokia (as seen in many online blogs/sites)

As read in another article, this move actually resulted in $7billion loss of share values for Nokia

@Goten

The pie-chart you show lists Windows Mobile which is entirely different OS from the Windows Phone 7. Know the facts properly before coming to such conclusions.
