a former Nvidia-Intel board partner's motherboard team now teaming up with its closest rival. looks a bit cinematic, doesn't it?

Sapphire is all set to release a new bunch of motherboards for AMD upcoming processor based on Fusion architecture, early next year. And from what we seen, it looks Sapphire now wants a piece of AMD motherboard pie from other manufacturers; either the easy way (current) or the hard way (EVGA teams experience).

however its important mentioning, just a week ago, EVGA launched another impressive motherboard: EVGA X58 FTW3.

and looks like theres a lot of activity in the motherboard section this week. according to recent reports, DFI have planned to close its LanParty series of motherboards. this came as a shock to many but not all. LanParty were good motherboard however suffered from low sales, forcing them close it. it'll be interesting to know where DFI's motherboard team heading? EVGA? possible
